Group Exercise – Class Descriptions

Pilates – This mat workout is based on techniques developed by Joseph Pilates which includes concentrated work on core strength, body alignment, and muscular balance. The overall goal of Pilates is to lengthen and tone the muscles of the core without adding bulk. If you are looking for that long, lean dancer body this is the class for you!

Sport Yoga – A fun, faster paced yoga designed to build strength and endurance while lengthening and stretching your muscles.  You don’t have to be an athlete or into sports for this class, just come and look forward to moving.

Indoor Cycling – See consistent results while burning a high amount of calories and improving cardiovascular endurance in this non-impact class. Whether you’re a beginner or avid cyclist this class is for you – it’s modified for all levels! Instructor focuses on fun and challenging rides with steady progressions towards the end of each format. Different rides include but are not limited to intervals, strength, split rides, race day, combo & variety. Come and enjoy the interaction, driving energy and beats from fantastic music and get one of the best cardio workouts you can do in a group exercise setting. The only competition is the one you have with yourself! Train like an athlete, ride like a racer and find your inner champion!

 Zumba – Ditch the workout and join the party! This fun and easy to follow cardio dance class combines high-energy and motivating Latin music with unique moves and combinations that make you feel like you are partying on the dance floor. Easy to follow, and something everyone can do – Zumba is the best way to “dance away your worries”. We promise, exercise has never been so fun!

Cardio Kickboxing – This class is a combination of cardio, boxing and marital arts providing a total body workout which aims to improve strength, aerobic fitness, speed, flexibility, coordination and balance. Come try one of the most popular fitness trends and kick, jab, cross, hook and uppercut your way to a fitter you!

Yoga –  Vinyasa Yoga is a flowing, dynamic sequence of poses that is one of the most popular styles of yoga in the United States. Also sometimes called “Vinyasa Flow Yoga,” this type of practice involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. The fluid, almost dance-like movements increase flexibility, strength, and stamina, as it calms the mind and improves overall health.  Appropriate for all levels. Options for poses always available.

Tabata/Shred It/Strength – The class will be 20 minutes of each of the following.  Tabata:  A 20 sec work/10 sec. rest timing.  Shred It:  A multi-repetition workout using explosive integrated exercises.  Strength:   Traditional conditioning exercises using weights, gliders and more.  Improve cardio, strength and toning.

Flexibility & Mobility – Stretching with focus on proper body alignment to improve range of motion.   Improve posture, flexibility and mobility.

3…2…1, Cardio, Weights, Abs – Relieve stress and get a great head to toe workout with this 3 2 1 Interval Circuit Workout.  3 mins of Cardio, 2 mins of Weights, and 1 min of Core, and REPEAT!  Easy to follow fun class that will build lean muscle, burn calories, shed fat and tone your entire body.

Total Body Workout – SHORT ON TIME?  TRY THIS CLASS!!!  In one hour, you will increase lean muscle mass and cardiovascular endurance while decreasing body fat. Burn tons of calories while defining and toning your body.  Get it all done in just 1 hour! 

Power Yoga – A different kind of workout for all levels of yoga including beginners, Power yoga will use cardio exercises, strength building poses, and core training to get a full body or targeted workout. Vinyasa style yoga with modifications made available to fit every level of fitness. Pranayama or breathing exercises are used to regulate the breath with stretching throughout to benefit fully from the class. 60 minutes long including a savasana or relaxation period at the end of class.

 ABC Class – ABC=Abs, Butt, Cardio  This class will begin with a variety of fat burning cardio exercises.  We’ll then switch to the best exercises to firm your butt followed by abdominal work to create those flat abs you’ve been wanting.
Cardio/Strength Combo – Cardio Strength Combo:   Workouts will cycle through burst of cardio and strength training, working the whole body.  Length of cycles will vary as will the use equipment.  For all ability levels.
